Dr. Mallina provided me with a lot of information and options, delivering these in a clear, understandable manner. I appreciated the updates and checkins regarding my condition.

Mr. Mallina explained the Bi Lateral Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel release procedure very well which was very reassuring. Being in the unique position of having one hand operated on using the Endoscopic release procedure and the other, which had to be completed with an open incision, I can honestly say that the Endoscopic release procedure was far superior in every way. I had much less pain in my left hand(which had the Endoscopic procedure). Within four or five days I was able to do far more with less pain than my right hand, which was much more painful due to the open incision. It has been eighteen days since my operation and I have almost full strength back in my left hand and the small scar has healed beautifully. I am still having some pain in my right hand as obviously the open incision has to heal and this is taking far longer than the Endoscopic procedure. I am having to massage the scar every day whereas my left hand is completely fine. The scar is still tender and it is taking me much longer to get back to full strength. Having experienced both types of procedure, I don't know why anyone would consider having an open incision for carpal tunnel rather than the far less painful, much quicker healing Endoscopic procedure. Based on my experience, I would happily encourage anyone needing an operation for Carpal Tunnel to have the Endoscopic procedure, as it is far less traumatic and so far for me, a much better and quicker outcome.

I saw Dr. Mallina for a wrist pain on my left hand. He ran some quick test and was quick to diagnose that it wasn't something major. I had a fracture at the same location last year and Dr. Mallina also confirmed that the fracture had healed completely. Rather than advising any un-neccesary medications, he just asked me to take Ibuprofen and all seems well for now. Thanks Dr. Mallina.

Ravi was absolutely fantastic in treating my hand tendon injury that I sustained a month prior to seeing him. He clearly explained the procedure that would be needed to repair the tendon, the importance of physio after and any potential risks involved. He worked to book my surgery as quickly as possible and kept me up to date with this. The procedure itself went brilliantly and the tendon was repaired, giving me full movement in the finger that was impacted. Ravi referred me to the hospital physio and ensured I had an appointment shortly after so I could commence the exercises that were key in regaining full function. He regularly checked in with me after the procedure to check on my progress and had follow up appointments in person to review how I was doing. Overall, I could not recommend Ravi highly enough! I've regained full use of my hand thanks to him and couldn't be more grateful for his highly professional, yet personable approach.

This doctor could not improve anything. He was extremely caring and explained the situation clearly and concisely and made sure I was fully aware of what was involved with the surgery. He phoned me on a number of occasions after the procedure to check on my progress and to ask whether I had any problems or questions for him, which I didn’t. I would describe my experience with Dr. Mallina as excellent.
